Meet my foster dogs!
Rescue and animal welfare have always been at the heart of what I do. They’ve shaped not only who I am, but how I approach behavior, training, and the way I support both dogs and their people.
For decades, I’ve worked closely with rescue dogs - especially seniors, special needs dogs, and those with behavioral challenges. These dogs are often the most overlooked, but they are also some of the most rewarding to help.
Because of that, I proudly foster through The Good Life Rescue and use my home as a space where dogs can decompress, learn, and prepare for their next chapter.
💚 I have a soft spot for the underdogs -the ones who need a little extra time, understanding, or support.
Below you’ll find some of the dogs currently in my care who are looking for their forever homes. If one of their faces speaks to you, I would love to help you learn more about them and see if it’s the right fit.

Ariel
Meet Ariel
Some dogs are energetic. Some dogs are goofy.
And then there's Ariel...A dignified little lady who believes life should consist of sunshine, soft blankets, stuffed toys, snacks with proper toppings, and people who understand that senior dogs have earned the right to be just a tiny bit spoiled.
At 9 years old, Ariel still has plenty of pep in her step. She enjoys leisurely walks, proudly carries around her beloved stuffies, and has perfected the art of making every day feel like the best day ever.
She's wonderfully mannered on leash, kennel trained, potty trained, and will politely let you know when it's time for a potty break. (She does have a bit of an old-lady bladder... but honestly, don't we all? )
Ariel is incredibly people-oriented and thrives on affection. Love is her favorite reward, and if you're willing to hand out belly rubs, she'll happily be your shadow.
She's also proven to be gentle with cats and respectful around chickens. While she's lived with another dog before, she prefers calm, respectful canine companions over busy, high-energy party animals. Because of that, any potential canine siblings will require a proper meet-and-greet.
After everything she's been through, including being abandoned once and then losing the only person who stepped in to save her through circumstances beyond anyone's control....Ariel deserves stability more than anything.
She isn't looking for excitement anymore.
She's looking for home.
A porch where she can soak up the sunshine.
A couch where she can curl up beside her favorite person for Netflix, a basket full of stuffies amdMaybe a few extra food toppers... because every princess has standards.
And, of course, a family that understands the most important senior rule of all...
"When you go gray... you get your way."

Holt
Meet Holt!
Those ember-colored eyes are pretty hard to resist.
Holt came to rescue as a young puppy after he and his littermates found themselves at risk in an overcrowded Texas shelter. Since then, he's learned all about home life and underneath that handsome face is a goofy, playful boy who still has plenty of world left to explore.
Holt LOVES to play. Toys, adventures, sniffing all the things, romping with other dogs... he's happiest when he's able to get out, explore, and just be a dog.

Would benefit from a family that will continue giving him positive adventures and opportunities to experience the world.
Holt enjoys his people, but we've learned that he can be a little slower to trust some new faces - particularly men. The best way to his heart is to let him make friends at his own pace. New people should give him space, keep introductions low-pressure, and maybe come prepared with a few good treats. Once Holt decides you're a friend, his happy, goofy personality starts shining through.
We think Holt would thrive in an adult-only, lower-traffic home with predictable routines and a family willing to listen when he asks for space. He doesn't need a house where nobody ever visits....he simply needs people who understand that introductions don't have to be rushed and who are willing to advocate for him while he continues building confidence.
Holt isn't looking for someone to rush him or expect perfection. He's looking for someone who will give him structure and plenty of opportunities to play, explore, sniff, learn, and enjoy being a dog.
He has so much personality, loves deeply, and with the right family we think this handsome boy is going to absolutely thrive.

Hercules
If Hercules were a human, he’d be the type to hold doors open, tip his hat, and insist you take the comfy chair. At around 10 years old, this handsome Lab mix is the definition of a sweet old soul… with just enough pep left to keep life fun.
He enjoys the finer things in life:
✨ Evening strolls (with a little enthusiasm we’re still polishing up 😄)
✨ A good toy session
✨ Curling up on the couch for a Netflix binge
✨ And of course… giving the absolute BEST hugs 🥹🐾
Seriously if you’re looking for a dog who leans in, wraps you up, and reminds you everything is going to be okay… Hercules is your guy.

Hercules is a gentle, loving dog who thrives in a calm, respectful environment.
✔️ Does well with medium to large dogs who respect personal space
❌ No small dogs or cats
✔️ Would benefit from a home that gives him time to decompress and settle in
✔️ Fenced yard or supervised outdoor time (he can get a little anxious)
He is kennel trained and does best kenneled when left alone, as his curiosity (and a bit of separation anxiety) can get him into mischief.

Hercules is incredibly food and attention motivated, which makes him both endearing and fun to work with.
He’s currently brushing up on his leash manners because sometimes his excitement for walks just can’t be contained 😄

Ren 🖤
Meet Ren!
Ren is a little over a year old (Pitty - Shep mix) and still learning that the world can be a kind and predictable place. After a rough start and limited early experiences, new things can feel overwhelming - but this boy is making steady, beautiful progress every single day.
What Ren lacks in early exposure, he makes up for in heart. He absolutely loves other dogs (all sizes!), does great with cats, and truly depends on his canine friends to help him feel safe and confident. Having another confident, social dog in the home is a must for him.
Once Ren trusts you?
That’s when the magic happens.
His goofy, playful personality starts to shine - he becomes a total clown who loves toys, fetch, and being near his people. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just bond… he attaches deeply.
