Meet my foster dogs!
Rescue and animal welfare have always been at the heart of what I do. They’ve shaped not only who I am, but how I approach behavior, training, and the way I support both dogs and their people.
For decades, I’ve worked closely with rescue dogs - especially seniors, special needs dogs, and those with behavioral challenges. These dogs are often the most overlooked, but they are also some of the most rewarding to help.
Because of that, I proudly foster through The Good Life Rescue and use my home as a space where dogs can decompress, learn, and prepare for their next chapter.
💚 I have a soft spot for the underdogs -the ones who need a little extra time, understanding, or support.
Below you’ll find some of the dogs currently in my care who are looking for their forever homes. If one of their faces speaks to you, I would love to help you learn more about them and see if it’s the right fit.

Phoenix
Phoenix isn’t just a dog, she’s a lifestyle. She’s survived the unimaginable, risen from neglect like the true legend she is, and now she’s here to say: “Bow down, peasants, the queen has entered the chat.” 👑🐾 Yes, she’s wobbly. Cerebellar Hypoplasia gives her a unique strut (think runway model meets shopping cart with a squeaky wheel), but does she let it slow her down? Absolutely not. Phoenix blasts off like a rocket 🚀 when she’s ready to play and don’t even think about pitying her, she’ll sass you right back into place. At 7 years old, this little Russell Parsons mix is fun-sized but full-throttle. She’ll make you laugh, roll your eyes, and melt your heart....sometimes all in the same five minutes. ✨ Phoenix’s rules of life: •Humans say a fenced yard is mandatory. Phoenix says she doesn’t recall electing you ruler of her kingdom. 👑 •Rugs > slippery floors (she prefers her castle with traction). •Other dogs? Acceptable, if they pass her vibe check. •Cats & chickens? Peasants. Denied. 🐓🙅♀️ •Humans? Must adore sass, snuggles, and strong female leads. Phoenix politely requests a home where humans are past the zoomie stage. Older kids or calm, respectful children are her perfect match. Her foster mom (a behaviorist, aka royal advisor) promises lifelong support for Phoenix’s new family, because a queen always comes with her court. Blake
Blake has been in rescue for over two years.
She came into rescue as a young puppy and, like many long-timers, didn’t always have the stable footing we wish every dog could start with. Multiple foster homes and periods of boarding made it harder for her to fully settle and grow her confidence .... something we always try to avoid, but sometimes can’t.
Despite that, Blake has done the work.
For nearly 8 months, she’s been with our behaviorist and trainer, building confidence, strengthening her social skills, and learning what it means to feel safe and understood. Once Blake feels comfortable, she shows her true self; a playful, affectionate, goofy boxer girl who loves to snuggle and just be near her people.
Blake would thrive in a home with:
• A fenced yard to play and explore
• Easygoing dogs with a similar play style (or being the center of attention)
• A family who enjoys couch time, laughter, and boxer antics
She’s: House trained
Kennel trained
Knows her basic commands
Gentle and respectful with cats
Unbothered by feathered livestock
Because Blake has experienced a lot of transitions in her life, she truly benefits from adopters who understand and follow the 3-3-3 decompression philosophy. Giving her time, patience, and consistency helps her feel safe, settle in, and show her best self and once she does, her sweet, playful personality shines.
Blake is one of our most overlooked dogs. A true underdog and hidden gem. Our team adores her, and we know the right family is out there… we just hope they see her sweet masked face and beautiful heart the way we do.

Hercules
If Hercules were a human, he’d be the type to hold doors open, tip his hat, and insist you take the comfy chair. At around 10 years old, this handsome Lab mix is the definition of a sweet old soul… with just enough pep left to keep life fun.
He enjoys the finer things in life:
✨ Evening strolls (with a little enthusiasm we’re still polishing up 😄)
✨ A good toy session
✨ Curling up on the couch for a Netflix binge
✨ And of course… giving the absolute BEST hugs 🥹🐾
Seriously if you’re looking for a dog who leans in, wraps you up, and reminds you everything is going to be okay… Hercules is your guy.
💛 His Ideal Home:
Hercules is a gentle, loving dog who thrives in a calm, respectful environment.
✔️ Does well with medium to large dogs who respect personal space
❌ No small dogs or cats
✔️ Would benefit from a home that gives him time to decompress and settle in
✔️ Fenced yard or supervised outdoor time (he can get a little anxious)
He is kennel trained and does best kenneled when left alone, as his curiosity (and a bit of separation anxiety) can get him into mischief.
💛 A Few Things to Know:
Hercules is incredibly food and attention motivated, which makes him both endearing and fun to work with.
He’s currently brushing up on his leash manners because sometimes his excitement for walks just can’t be contained 😄
But overall?
He’s a soft place to land at the end of your day.

Ren (Coming Soon) 🖤
Ren is a little over a year old and still learning that the world is a safe place. After a rough start and limited early experiences, everything new can feel a bit overwhelming, but he’s making steady, beautiful progress every day.
This young bully mix absolutely loves other dogs (all sizes!) and does great with cats, and having confident dog friends is a must for him. Once he trusts you, Ren’s goofy, playful personality shines - he’s a total clown who loves toys, fetch, and being close to his people. 🐾
Ren will need a patient home that can give him extra time to decompress, stick to a consistent routine, and continue building his confidence at his pace. A fenced yard and another dog are required.
He’s not quite ready for adoption yet, but he’s getting closer. 💛
